The lunar landscape is as familiar as life on Earth in the current time, faith and optimism are not in abundance, this piece is a reminder that we are globally united in our experience.

Reminiscent in form of an early 1950s TV set, this work is on the theme of screen time. Through conversations with friends and colleagues I have identified a trend caused by the anxiety of living through a pandemic and the experience of lockdown.
We are finding ourselves drawn into screens as a form of escapism. My own experience of Netflix, which I have attempted to “use” mindfully inspired this piece, which reflects the feeling of spiralling into an abyss.
This work relates to the research and outcomes of projects I undertook as a masters student at the RCA.

Time and creativity being consumed in a transaction that exchanges these things for nothing but an empty mind..
